Max Verstappen finally got his first ever Singapore Grand Prix victory Sunday, capping off a dominant weekend at the Marina Bay circuit.
Verstappen, who started on pole and also won Saturday's sprint race, led from start to finish. He was joined on the podium by Charles Leclerc and championship leader Kimi Antonelli, who finished third.
Antonelli leads the championship by 102 points and can officially become the youngest world champion in F1 history at the next race in Austin. He'll need to lead by 125 points or more to do so.
It's the second straight victory for Verstappen after he triumphed in Malaysia last week. The Red Bull driver captured his 73rd win with Red Bull on Sunday, passing Michael Schumacher and Ferrari for second most wins by a driver and constructor pairing. Only Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes (84) have more wins as a duo.
Verstappen moves to fourth in the drivers' championship, overtaking Leclerc. With 221 points, Verstappen is only eight points away from catching Lewis Hamilton for third in the standings and 17 points short of George Russell for second.
Russell started Sunday's race 19th after taking grid penalties for a new power unit. He recovered to finish ninth.
Hamilton finished sixth in Singapore, losing three positions from his starting grid spot. The seven-time champion utilized an ambitious strategy that saw him go long on a soft tire for his final stint, which led to him being overtaken by Antonelli and Lando Norris.
Red Bull's Isack Hadjar rounded out the points scorers in 10th.
