The Los Angeles Dodgers' lineup will be missing a big bopper.
The Dodgers placed outfielder Teoscar Hernández on the 10-day injured list Friday with a left hamstring strain. Manager Dave Roberts said after Wednesday's game that Hernández is expected to miss a few weeks "at the minimum," according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic.
L.A. recalled outfielder/first baseman Ryan Ward from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. The Dodgers also re-signed infielder Santiago Espinal, who'd been designated for assignment earlier in the week, and optioned utility player Hyeseong Kim to Triple-A.
Hernández suffered the injury while running out a ground ball during his second-inning at-bat Wednesday against the Colorado Rockies. He came up lame as he crossed first base and grabbed at the back of his left leg, then slammed his helmet in frustration in the dugout moments later. Kim replaced Hernández in left field in the top of third.

Hernández had been on a hot streak, putting up a 1.056 OPS with three homers over the last two weeks.
Roberts said Hernández's injury is "disappointing," according to Sonja Chen of MLB.com.
"He's been playing so well, and he's a big part of what we're doing," Roberts continued. "So to lose him for any length of time is not great."
Hernández, now in his third season with the Dodgers, has generally been healthy throughout his career. This will be just his second IL stint since 2022; he missed around two weeks last May because of a groin strain.
The three-time Silver Slugger winner is hitting .276/.348/.436 slash line with seven home runs and 31 RBIs over 51 games this season. He's been the Dodgers' starting left fielder in all but five of their 56 games in 2026.
Ward appeared in his first two big-league games in April. MLB.com ranks him as the Dodgers' No. 19 prospect. The 28-year-old is hitting .254/.379/.418 with six homers, 31 RBIs, and six steals over 214 plate appearances in Triple-A.
Ward can play both corner outfield spots as well as first base. He could form the left-handed half of a left field platoon with Alex Call while Hernández is out.
