The Los Angeles Dodgers lost another starter Sunday after placing All-Star left-hander Justin Wrobleski on the 10-day injured list with left forearm inflammation.
A timetable for Wrobleski's return was not immediately available.
Wrobleski has been a breakout star for the two-time defending champions this year after stepping up following early-season injuries to Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow. The 26-year-old was named to the NL All-Star squad after putting up a 2.69 ERA with 73 strikeouts through his first 100 1/3 innings in 2026. Overall, he's gone 11-5 with a 3.56 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 100 strikeouts over 20 starts and one relief appearance.
However, things haven't been as steady for the southpaw in the second half. He owns a 6.92 ERA and 1.42 WHIP while allowing 11 homers in 26 innings since the break. Wrobleski has allowed at least four earned runs in three of his last four outings. He surrendered four runs and two homers in six innings of work against the Milwaukee Brewers on Saturday. The Dodgers lost the game 4-1.
The Dodgers have once again been hit hard by injuries to their pitching staff this season. However, they've recently rolled out a six-man rotation that includes Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Tarik Skubal, and Snell, the latter of whom recently returned from the IL, giving them more than enough depth to withstand Wrobleski's absence. Glasnow is nearing his own return from the IL, while Shohei Ohtani could be back on the mound in September.
Los Angeles has left-hander Eric Lauer and right-hander Roki Sasaki at the back of its rotation. Kris Bubic, another former All-Star starter whom the Dodgers acquired at the trade deadline, may also return before the end of the season.
The Dodgers recalled right-hander Kyle Hurt from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding roster move.
