Detroit Pistons restricted free agent Jalen Duren will meet with the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday for the second time in as many days, sources told The Athletic's Sam Amick.

In their first meeting, the Lakers conveyed that they view Duren as a max-salary type of player, according to Amick. The Pistons, meanwhile, have underwhelmed Duren with their offers, leading the standout center to explore sign-and-trade possibilities with other teams.

The Sacramento Kings are still in the Duren sweepstakes and communicated similar levels of interest when they met with him, Amick reports.

While Duren seems intent on switching teams, the Pistons have reportedly shown no interest in facilitating a sign-and-trade. Rival clubs could sign the 22-year-old to an offer sheet, which the Pistons would have the option to match.

Duren averaged 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds last season but struggled mightily in the postseason.

The Lakers are believed to be seeking a cornerstone center to pair with Luka Doncic, while the Kings are looking to remake their roster after winning just 22 games last season. The Lakers are rumored to also be interested in Utah Jazz center Walker Kessler, another restricted free agent.
