The Atlanta Hawks are trading Buddy Hield and Ryan Nembhard to the Charlotte Hornets for veteran forward Dorian Finney-Smith, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.
Hield appeared in seven games for the Hawks in 2025-26 after Atlanta acquired him from the Golden State Warriors in a trade involving Kristaps Porzingis. The 33-year-old averaged 7.6 points on 44% shooting in 51 games between the Warriors and Hawks.
Nembhard featured in 60 contests for the Dallas Mavericks during his rookie campaign before being dealt to Atlanta. The 23-year-old point guard averaged 6.6 points and 5.3 assists while recording 19.5 minutes per contest.
Finney-Smith appeared in 37 games for the Houston Rockets last season before he was traded to Charlotte in July. The 10-year veteran played a career-low 16.8 minutes per game for the Rockets, averaging 3.3 points and 2.5 rebounds.
