Moussa Kamissoko, a 6-foot-8 five-star power forward from Ohio's Spire Academy, announced Friday on social media that he's committing to Syracuse and head coach Gerry McNamara.
Kamissoko ranks as the No. 15 recruit in the country for the 2027 class, per ESPN. He's the first five-star high-schooler to commit to Syracuse since Donnie Freeman in 2024, and he joins wing Jack Donohue among the Orange's committed recruits in the 2027 cycle.
A native of Pawling, New York, Kamissoko also garnered interest from Illinois, Florida State, NC State, Louisville, and Cincinnati, among others.
The 18-year-old previously attended Long Island Lutheran High School in his home state before transferring to Ohio's Spire Academy this summer. On Thursday, he was named a participant in USA Basketball's junior national team minicamp in Colorado in October.
Kamissoko is the second-highest-ranked recruit in next year's class to have committed to a school, after NaVorro Bowman Jr. pledged to UConn earlier in September.
