Saturday provided the ultimate example of football as a game of inches when Indiana's 22-game winning streak ended at the hands of Ohio State because a toe was out of bounds.
The Hoosiers appeared to have produced the game-winning touchdown on a perfect fourth-down call in the final minute, with Nick Marsh breaking free for a wide-open score. However, Marsh's foot barely moved out of bounds as he secured the catch, turning a potential winner into a game-ending play for the Buckeyes.

That allowed the Buckeyes to secure a 19-15 victory, handing the Hoosiers their first loss since the 2024 season.
The blockbuster matchup delivered on drama, and both defensive units played well. Starting quarterbacks Josh Hoover and Julian Sayin each suffered injuries but wound up with very different outcomes.
Hoover missed just one play in the second half after he was hurt and played the remainder of the game for Indiana despite grimacing on multiple throws. Sayin wasn't so lucky - he immediately went to the locker room after taking a sack in the fourth quarter and returned to the sidelines in a sling. Ryan Day confirmed to Jake Trotter of ESPN after the contest that Sayin would miss 'several weeks,' a significant development in the Ohio State push to the playoffs.
That put a damper on an otherwise outstanding afternoon for Ohio State. Day's fourth-down gambles paid off not once, but twice for touchdowns to help the Buckeyes build a double-digit edge.
Although Indiana mostly managed to shut down Jeremiah Smith, the Heisman favorite supplied the most electric play of the game with a 38-yard touchdown on fourth down to stretch Ohio State's lead.

The result leaves both teams with 6-1 records and further cements their status as the class of the Big Ten.
