New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart addressed his teammates in a meeting Wednesday to talk about his decision to introduce President Donald Trump last weekend, sources told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.

Various team leaders reportedly made their voices heard in the meeting, Garafolo adds. Brian Burns, Kayvon Thibodeaux, and Jameis Winston were among the players who spoke, according to Rapoport.

Dart introduced Trump at a campaign rally in New York on Friday, which appeared to provoke a negative reaction from teammate Abdul Carter.

"Thought this sh!t was AI, what we doing man," Carter posted on X in response to a video of Dart at the event. He later added that he spoke with Dart and the two are "good."

Keeping things internal and not publicly airing frustrations was among the topics discussed at the meeting, sources told ESPN's Jordan Raanan.

A first-round pick in 2025, Dart is entering his second NFL season. He went 4-8 as a rookie with 15 touchdowns, five interceptions, and nine rushing scores. This will be his first year working under new Giants head coach John Harbaugh and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy.
