Whether or not you agree with it, MVP has become an award for quarterbacks, which is why the first 24 names on the oddsboard play that position. Bijan Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs are the first non-QBs to appear at +10000 each.

Josh Allen is the preseason favorite at +550 (15.4%). The 2024 winner came third in voting last season and finished inside the top five in voting each of the past four years. The Bills are the favorites to win the AFC East and are tied with the Ravens to win both the AFC (+500) and Super Bowl (+1000). Team success is a huge component of this award, and the season is setting up to be a big one for Allen and the Bills.

Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Drake Maye, and Justin Herbert are Allen's stiffest competition. Jackson is a two-time MVP and would join an elite group that includes Tom Brady if he can capture the award a third time.

Last year's winner, Matthew Stafford, is +1100 to repeat. The 38-year-old threw for 4,707 yards and 46 touchdowns last season and became only the second player to be named MVP on a team that didn't win its division.

Long-shot look - Jalen Hurts (+2200): The Eagles have a path to the top seed in the NFC, and Hurts has attracted voters' attention in the past, finishing as the MVP runner-up in 2022. If he gets back to using his legs, Hurts could put together a season similar to Allen's 2024 campaign. Something like 14 touchdowns on the ground and another 25 through the air en route to a 13-win Eagles season could be enough for Hurts to secure the hardware.

The Offensive Player of the Year oddsboard looks a lot like the beginning of a fantasy draft because this award has essentially become a way to recognize the fantasy football MVP. Gibbs is going first in drafts and is the favorite to win OPOY. He's expected to be the bell-cow back in the Lions' offense, which should score a ton of points and no longer has David Montgomery.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is +1500 to repeat as OPOY. His 119-catch, 1,793-yard season will be a tough act to follow, especially after former Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak left for the Raiders. The last player to repeat as OPOY was Marshall Faulk in 2001.

Long-shot look - Ladd McConkey (+10000): He'll be the No. 1 receiving option on a team with Herbert at quarterback and Mike McDaniel as offensive coordinator. McConkey has a chance to lead the NFL in receptions and could easily score double-digit touchdowns in a high-powered Chargers offense.

Myles Garrett is +400 to repeat as Defensive Player of the Year, but he'd be doing it in a different uniform. He set the single-season sack record last year with 23 and will now torment opposing quarterbacks in the NFC West as a member of the Rams.

The last player to repeat as DPOY was, coincidentally, Garrett's new teammate Aaron Donald, who came out of retirement Sunday to rejoin the Super Bowl-favorite Rams. Donald is +4000 to win his fourth DPOY award but has been out of the league since 2023.

Long-shot look - Danielle Hunter (+2500): Hunter had more sacks than his teammate Will Anderson Jr. last year and just two fewer pressures on one of the league's best defenses. Anderson may get most of the credit if Houston's defense is dominant again, but Hunter could easily wind up with better stats, and his odds of winning the award are nearly four times as long as Anderson's.

Offensive Rookie of the Year

With Fernando Mendoza unlikely to get the keys to the Raiders' offense for a while, Jeremiyah Love is the favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. Love is slightly banged up, and his status for Week 1 is in doubt, but the Cardinals running back's ankle injury shouldn't sideline him for too long.

If Mendoza does get into games before the calendar flips to October, +600 will look like a steal. Rookie quarterbacks have an advantage over position players when it comes to earning votes, and he wouldn't have to be spectacular to top this crop of rookies. Still, with Mendoza on the bench and Love already hurt, the OROY race is completely open.

Long-shot look - KC Concepcion (+1600): De'Zhaun Stribling's odds shortened drastically through preseason and training camp, making Concepcion the best value on the board. The Browns' rookie wideout will be used all over the field and is Cleveland's best receiving option. New Browns head coach Todd Monken fed Zay Flowers when he was a rookie with the Ravens and should take the same approach with Concepcion.

This award traditionally goes to a pass-rusher, but Carson Schwesinger earned the honor last year as a middle linebacker.

Rueben Bain Jr. and David Bailey are the top two favorites, and they both fit the mold of recent edge-rushing winners. Caleb Downs would buck the trend - a safety hasn't been the DROY since Mark Carrier in 1990.

Long-shot look - Akheem Mesidor (+1400): The Chargers took Mesidor in the first round, and the 25-year-old should get plenty of work in what should be a good Jim Harbaugh defense. He has a solid chance to lead all rookies in sacks, which is generally enough to win the award.

Coach of the Year

Coach of the Year doesn't necessarily go to the best coach, but rather to a coach in a fairly new situation whose team exceeds expectations. John Harbaugh, Jesse Minter, Robert Saleh, and Joe Brady are all in new roles and are four of the top five favorites. Kellen Moore is entering his second season with the Saints, a team that's expected to take another step forward.

Long-shot look - Ben Johnson (+1600): The Bears head coach was the preseason favorite last year but was outclassed by both Mike Vrabel and Mike Macdonald even though Chicago went 11-6 and won the NFC North. If the Bears win the division again and contend for the top seed in the conference, Johnson will be recognized for turning this franchise around.

Comeback Player of the Year

Comeback Player of the Year was reimagined a few seasons ago. Voters are now encouraged to focus on players returning from injury rather than simply overcoming poor play the season prior.

Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL in December 2025, so he qualifies as coming back from injury despite not missing much of the regular season. Kyler Murray and Jayden Daniels fall into that bucket as well.

It remains to be seen how voters want to handle Donald's return from retirement, but for now, some sportsbooks won't allow you to bet on him winning this award.

Long-shot look - Malik Nabers (+2000): Mahomes will be tough to beat, but voters might not view Mahomes as a true comeback candidate because he still played 14 games last season. Nabers missed a large portion of last year and is only a year removed from setting rookie records in 2024. If Nabers can return to his rookie level after tearing his ACL last year, he'll have a better chance to win than his odds indicate.
