Atlanta Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski does not know who will be the starting quarterback for Sunday's home opener against the Carolina Panthers.
"I'm not ruling anyone out," Stefanski said Wednesday, according to Falcons reporter Will McFadden.
Quarterbacks Cooper Rush and Michael Penix Jr. will practice this week, Stefanski said, but Tua Tagovailoa won't. Tagovailoa is considered day-to-day with an oblique strain, and Penix is still working his way back from the third ACL reconstruction of his career.
"I'm still working toward (playing)," Penix said Wednesday, according to ESPN's Marc Raimondi. "We're working right now. I'm close."

Rush is receiving treatment for a back injury after starting in Atlanta's Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 32-year-old was 12-for-22 with 143 yards passing, a touchdown, and two interceptions.
