New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart left Monday's game against the Los Angeles Rams in the first quarter and walked to the locker room with a knee injury.
The Giants later announced that Dart won't return for the remainder of the game.
Dart went down after throwing a pass on third-and-8 on the Giants' first offensive possession. He was clutching his left knee following the play in which he got tangled with Rams defenders Josaiah Stewart and Byron Young.

Dart spent time in the medical tent before heading to the locker room. Jameis Winston replaced Dart at quarterback for the Giants.
The Ole Miss product completed 3 of 5 passes for 20 yards on the Giants' opening drive.
Dart entered Monday after an impressive showing in the Giants' season opener. He passed for 230 yards and three touchdowns in New York's 28-20 win over the Dallas Cowboys.
