Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell isn't worried about getting hit as he prepares to play in his first game since suffering a gruesome knee injury in December 2024.
In fact, he's looking forward to it.
"I know it's a lot of questions like, 'How he gonna look when he gets tackled?'" Dell told reporters Wednesday, including ESPN's DJ Bien-Aime. "I don't care about none of that. I'm ready to get tackled. I'm gonna be joyful. Y'all gonna see the passion I have after ... that first catch."
Dell missed all of last season while recovering from a severe knee injury suffered in a Week 16 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs in 2024. He sustained a dislocated kneecap, multiple torn ligaments, and meniscus damage after being hit in the end zone.
The 26-year-old has recorded 1,376 yards and 10 touchdowns on 98 catches over 25 career games. Dell impressed many during his 2023 rookie campaign, which featured 47 receptions for 709 yards and seven touchdowns.
The Texans will have no shortage of wide receiver options for Sunday's game against the New York Giants, with Dell, Nico Collins, Marvin Harrison Jr., Jaylin Noel, Xavier Hutchinson, and Kayshon Boutte all being available.
