The Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Cleveland Guardians 7-3 in Game 4 on Saturday to even the American League Championship Series at two games apiece.

Jonathan Aranda, Yandy Díaz, and Junior Caminero drove in a combined five runs for the Rays. The trio had just one RBI through the first three games of the series. Aranda had a three-hit night, Caminero doubled, and Díaz added a two-run homer in the ninth inning.

"A lot of really good at-bats. A lot of hard hits," Rays manager Kevin Cash said. "Overall, just happy that Junior squared some balls up, Aranda came through in a big way for us, and then Yandy there at the end with a two-run, add-on homer."

Tampa Bay starter Nick Martinez allowed one run on two hits over 5 1/3 innings. Game 2 starter Freddy Peralta and four other Rays relievers combined to allow two earned runs over the final 3 2/3 innings.

"He saved me, he saved our game today," Martinez said of Peralta pitching in relief. "Not ideal to walk the leadoff guy up 2-1 late in the game. He came in during a big spot, and those were a huge couple of outs for us."

Travis Bazzana hit his first career playoff homer, and the Guardians got RBIs from both Chase DeLauter and Brayan Rocchio. Cleveland left five on base and couldn't capitalize with two runners on in the seventh against a struggling Ian Seymour. The Guardians also had multiple defensive lapses.

"A couple unfortunate plays for us tonight that we usually complete and just weren't able to do it," Cleveland manager Stephen Vogt said.

Game 5 takes place Sunday at 5:08 p.m. ET at Progressive Field before the series shifts back to Tampa Bay on Monday.

Rookie left-hander Parker Messick will start for the Guardians opposite right-hander Drew Rasmussen for the Rays.

"We've got a huge game, another swing game tomorrow," Cash said.
