Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. departed Tuesday's game against the Chicago White Sox due to left hamstring tightness, the team announced.

Acuña missed 13 games in May due to a Grade 1 strain in his left hamstring.

Acuña suffered this latest injury while trying to beat out a grounder in the top of the fourth inning. Eli White replaced him in right field in the bottom half.

Both Acuña and manager Walt Weiss downplayed the severity of the injury after the Braves' loss to Chicago. Weiss said the issue doesn't seem "as bad as the last one," and added that his star is day-to-day for now, according to Braves broadcaster Wiley Ballard.

"I don't feel any pain. I just feel a little bit tight," Acuña told reporters, per Ballard. "So we'll see what happens with the MRI tomorrow."

Acuña, 28, has been hit hard by injuries over the last several seasons. He underwent ACL repair surgeries in both 2021 and 2024 and missed time last year with an Achilles issue.

The 2023 NL MVP has seven homers, 22 RBIs, and 15 stolen bases with a .794 OPS over 53 games this season.

The Braves own MLB's best record at 45-22.
