The Cleveland Guardians activated star third baseman José Ramírez from the 10-day injured list, the club announced Wednesday, according to Tim Stebbins of MLB.com.
Ramírez had been out since June 14 after undergoing hand surgery for a broken hamate bone.
The Guardians went 15-15 without the seven-time All-Star. The team is tied with the Chicago White Sox for the AL Central lead entering play Wednesday.
Ramírez has only been on the IL twice in his 14-year career, both times as a result of a broken hamate bone.
The 33-year-old has 10 home runs, 33 RBIs, 24 stolen bases, and a .757 OPS across 72 games this season.
Cleveland optioned Kahlil Watson to Triple-A to make room for Ramírez on the active roster.
