Oklahoma City Thunder forward Jalen Williams returned from a three-game absence in Game 6 of the Western Conference finals Thursday against the San Antonio Spurs.
Williams re-aggravated a hamstring injury in Game 2 and hadn't played in the series since. While he wasn't named in the Thunder's starting lineup Thursday - Jared McCain retained his place from Game 5 - Williams didn't wait too long to make his first appearance, checking in for the first time with 4:13 left in the opening quarter.
The Thunder can advance to a second straight NBA Finals with a victory in San Antonio.
Williams has been plagued by hamstring strains throughout the season. He was sidelined for 30 of the Thunder's final 39 regular-season games, and he missed six games earlier in the playoffs before returning for a double-overtime loss to the Spurs in the West finals series opener.
In four postseason games, Williams is averaging 17.8 points, four rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.3 steals. He's shooting a combined 5-of-11 from three for a 45.5% clip.
