Minnesota Vikings linebacker Jamal Adams suffered a season-ending knee injury during Saturday's preseason win over the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Adams left the game in the second quarter on a cart and underwent tests Sunday to determine the severity of his injury.

The 30-year-old, who transitioned from safety to linebacker last season, joined Minnesota this year for his 10th NFL season after spending the 2025 campaign with the Las Vegas Raiders. He recorded 45 tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble last year.

Adams was once one of the sport's best safeties during his time with the New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks. He earned three All-Pro berths (one first-team selection) in his first four NFL seasons after being drafted sixth overall by the Jets in 2017.
