Taylor's contract has a base value of $5 million and includes $1 million in incentives.</p><p>Taylor spent the past three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. The 28-year-old made 45 regular-season starts with Kansas City and was part of a Super Bowl-winning campaign. However, his Chiefs tenure was marked by a whopping 56 penalties.</p><p>McGary allowed 10 sacks over his final two seasons, according to PFF. He also stood out as a run-blocker and was under contract for two more years. He signed a two-year, $30-million extension in August, shortly before sustaining the leg injury.</p><p>"I truly enjoyed my time playing alongside Kaleb," said Falcons president of football and former quarterback Matt Ryan, according to <a href="https://www.atlantafalcons.com/news/falcons-ot-kaleb-mcgary-retires-nfl">team reporter Will McFadden</a>. "He was an outstanding teammate and had a tremendous career as a Falcon. <p>Toronto Blue Jays manager John Schneider admits the team has fallen short of expectations during a rough start to the season, but he doesn't think it's time to panic.</p><p>"I feel like at times I'm over-positive in times like this, where it's no secret it's not working right now," Schneider said after Monday's 14-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to <a href="https://www.mlb.com/bluejays/video/john-schneider-talks-blue-jays-outing">MLB.com</a>. "Better now than in July or August. ... We're 10 games into the season."</p><p>The lopsided defeat in a rematch of last season's thrilling World Series dropped the Blue Jays to 4-6. They've lost five in a row, and their minus-20 run differential is second worst in the American League.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"There's been bases loaded in almost every game with two outs, I feel like," Schneider said. "You need someone to get the big hit. "We are grateful for their dedication and the work they've put in over the past six years. At the same time, we have not had the success our fans deserve, and it's my responsibility to go in a new direction. This move is about positioning our team for sustained success moving forward."</p><p>Karnisovas and Eversley both joined the Bulls in 2020. He's the winningest coach in franchise history with a 471-327 regular-season record from 2015-25. The 54-year-old led the Nuggets to an NBA title in 2023.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>The New York native previously coached the Sacramento Kings, who dismissed him partway through his second season with the team in 2014.</p><p>Malone has limited experience in college basketball. He served as an assistant at Oakland, Providence, and Manhattan from 1994-2001 before starting to work in the NBA. His daughter, Bridget, is a volleyball player at UNC.</p><p>Malone is the first North Carolina coach without any previous direct ties to the school since Frank McGuire, who preceded the legendary Dean Smith.</p><p>The Tar Heels were eliminated in the first round of March Madness in each of the past two seasons.</p><p>Several candidates reportedly spurned North Carolina in recent days. Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan - a two-time national champion at Florida - was reportedly open to potentially taking the job, but he wasn't willing to discuss his future before the NBA regular season ends April 12.</p><p>However, North Carolina athletic director Steve Newmark "panicked" after Michigan's Dusty May and Arizona's Tommy Lloyd turned down the position, a source told <a href="https://x.com/GoodmanHoops/status/2041227917229773114?s=20">Field of 68's Jeff Goodman</a>. </p><p>Vanderbilt boss Mark Byington was also a top candidate for the job, a source told <a href="https://x.com/GoodmanHoops/status/2041228508291100754">Goodman</a>.</p>

He's topped the league in touches in the last two seasons in which he played at least 16 games (2023 and '25).</p><p>"I know that I don't want Christian to have to take all of that," Shanahan said Monday, according to <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48348260/49ers-shanahan-aims-lighten-mccaffrey-workload">ESPN's Nick Wagoner</a>. "It was amazing that he did and was able to do that.</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>"The reason it's so hard to get Christian out is because of how much he affects everything in the pass game, even when he's not getting the ball. ... But in order for us to be the running team we want to be, in order to have Christian be as good as he can be throughout the whole year, we've got to get someone to help him."</p><p>The 49ers relied heavily on McCaffrey last season with some of their top stars sidelined due to injuries, including quarterback <a data-in-app-uri="thescore:///nfl/players/174189" href="https://thescore.com/nfl/players/174189">Brock Purdy</a>, who made only nine appearances. McCaffrey carried the ball a career-high 311 times in 2025 while also making 102 catches. <p>Max Verstappen revealed Sunday that he's considering retiring from Formula 1 at the end of the 2026 season.</p><p>The 28-year-old Red Bull driver said he's "not enjoying the whole formula" after finishing eighth at the Japanese Grand Prix, another disappointing race for the four-time world champion.</p><p>"I'm thinking about everything inside this paddock," Verstappen said, according to <a href="https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/articles/cx2695dkjzdo">Andrew Benson and Jennie Gow of BBC</a>. "Privately, I'm very happy. You also wait for 24 races. This time it's 22. But normally 24. And then you just think about, is it worth it? Or do I enjoy being more at home with my family? Seeing my friends more when you're not enjoying your sport?"</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Verstappen has repeatedly voiced his frustration with F1's new engine rules this season.</p><p>It's been a rough start to the season for Red Bull and Verstappen, who finished sixth in Australia and retired from the race in China.</p><p>"I can easily accept to be in P7 or P8 where I am," Verstappen said. "Because I also know that you can't be dominating or be first or second or whatever, fighting for a podium every time. I'm very realistic in that and I've been there before. I've not only been winning in F1."</p><p>He added that F1's recent changes don't "feel natural" to him.</p><p>"Of course, I try to adapt to it, but it's not nice the way you have to race. It's really anti-driving. Then at one point, yeah, it's just not what I want to do," Verstappen said.</p><p>"And of course you can look at it and make a lot of money. Great. Although Flacco said he's content to reunite with Cincinnati, he added that he believes teams should've given him a chance to compete for a starting job in free agency.</p><p>"Believe me, I wish I was a guy somewhere," Flacco said Wednesday, according to <a href="https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/48304474/bengals-joe-flacco-says-teams-dumb-not-signing-start">ESPN's Ben Baby</a>. "And I think teams are dumb for not having me be that guy."</p><div class="the-score-article-ad-unit"></div><p>Flacco added: "Not being one of those guys to go sign somewhere, yeah, it pisses me off a little bit. But at the same time, I'm very happy to be here."</p><p>The 41-year-old began last season with the Cleveland Browns but was traded to the Bengals in October after Burrow suffered a toe injury. A former Super Bowl MVP, Flacco provided Cincinnati's offense with a spark by completing 61.7% of his passes for 1,664 yards and 13 touchdowns against four interceptions in six starts.</p><p>Multiple teams sought to boost their QB1 competition in the offseason.
