Packers' Reed stretchered off with neck injury vs. Jets

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed left the field on a stretcher during Sunday's game against the New York Jets after suffering a neck injury.

Reed went down after getting tackled on the second play from scrimmage. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game shortly afterward.

Reed has feeling and movement in all extremities but won't travel back to Green Bay with the team Sunday, the club announced postgame.

The 26-year-old was limited to seven games last season due to a broken collarbone. He inked a three-year, $50.25-million contract extension over the offseason.

Reed led the Packers in receiving yards in 2023 (793) and 2024 (857).

Offensive tackle Zach Bako-Bewele was also ruled out for the remainder of the contest after suffering a first-quarter knee injury. Head coach Matt LaFleur said postgame that Bako-Bewele could be out long term, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky.
