Mbappe found the net in the second half of a thrilling 10-goal third-place match. His World Cup career tally is now at 22, one goal ahead of Lionel Messi.

Mbappe (10 goals) now also holds a two-goal lead over Messi (eight) in the Golden Boot race at the 2026 World Cup. Messi plays in the final against Spain on Sunday.
Les Bleus scored four goals in the second half Saturday, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Three Lions, who had opened a 4-0 lead in the first 45 minutes.
